At the very edge of the afterlife, a night-shift convenience store keeps the gates from slamming shut by selling one final craving to every soul as they queue for transition. When a living girl wanders in by mistake, she becomes the store’s newest clerk—except her drawer starts printing receipts for customers who haven’t arrived yet. Each time the machine grants a craving, the boundary between worlds thins, turning staff chatter into whispers from the wrong side.
